Hello and welcome – I’m Nelli Priebe, and I’m so glad you’re here. I started this blog because I love simple, homemade recipes that bring family and friends together. The kitchen has always been the heart of our home, as my family immigrated from Russia to Germany, and now settled in Canada, I cook and bake everyday meals inspired by this heritage for my own family.
From fresh ingredients grown in our garden to the comfort of a warm, homemade meal, here, you’ll find recipes that are easy to follow with mouthwatering and healthy ingredients. Whether it’s a cozy dinner after a long day, freshly baked sourdough bread, or a sweet treat for the weekend, my goal is to help you cook with confidence and joy.

Why I started this Blog
Cooking has always been my way of showing hospitality to people and I truly enjoy a table full of home cooked meals. I wanted a space to share the meals, tips and little tricks that make homestead living easier – and tastier. Nelki’s Homestead Kitchen is my way of bringing a little of that homestead magic into your kitchen. I believe good food doesn’t need to be fancy to be meaningful. Some of the best meals are the simplest ones – the kind that bring everyone to the table and make memories along the way.
