Ingredients
  

For the Dough:
  • 200 g Water
  • 200 g Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 750 g Flour
For the Filling:
  • 3 Apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
For the Topping:
  • Sour cream
  • Sugar

Equipment

  • 1 Thermomix or
  • 1 Steaming pot

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl or Thermomix mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, milk and water. Mixing until a dough forms. Knead about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Cover the dough let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the filling.
  3. Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix together diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. The filling should smell just like apple pie filling.
  4. Roll and Fill: Roll the dough thinly on a floured surface. Cut into squares about 4 inches wide.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square. Fold the dough in half and seal the edges making it in a round shape.
  6. Steam the Manty: Lightly grease your steamer trays. Arrange the manty with space between them.
  7. Steam for 45 minutes until the dough is tender and the filling is fully cooked.
  8. Serve Warm: Serve warm and drizzle sour cream and sugar mixture onto the Manty. The warm apples and cinnamon filling make these irresistible straight from the steamer.
