Method
- Insert butterfly whisk. Place cubed (5mm) potatoes, salt and milk in mixing bowl then cook 30-35 minutes/95C/speed 1 until cooked.
- Add butter then mash 30 sec/speed 3. Remove butterfly whisk and continue to mash until creamy and smooth texture.
Notes
Tips:
- Check that potatoes are very tender before mashing. If they still seem firm, cook for the additional 5 minutes.
- If you prefer a more liquid puree, add 100g of milk to step 2.
- If you prefer Italian-style potato puree use only 1/2 teaspoon of salt in step 1, and add 30g grated Parmesan cheese in step 2.
- The easiest mashed potato recipe. Use floury potatoes or from your vegetable garden.
