Apple Cinnamon Manty

Apple Cinnamon Manty are a sweet twist on the traditional Eastern European manty dumplings many families know and love. These dessert-style manty are filled with tender apples, sugar, and cinnamon, then steamed until perfectly soft and drizzled with a sweet sauce. They make a beautiful fall dessert, holiday treat, or cozy weekend baking. I love to use the leftover dough from my Russian manty recipe and make apple cinnamon manty with it the next day.

Whether you grew up eating savory manty or are trying them for the first time, this sweet version is guaranteed to become a family favorite. You will love the combination of a sweet sour cream and sugar mixture that gets drizzled onto the manty’s.

What is Apple Cinnamon Manty?

Traditional manty are dumplings popular in many Eastern European and Central Asian kitchens, usually filled with seasoned meat and onions. Apple cinnamon manty takes that same soft dough concept and transforms it into a sweet dessert filled with juicy apples and warm spices.

Think of them as a combination between cinnamon rolls, apple pie, and soft steamed dumplings. There comforting, simple, and packed with homemade flavor. It’s one of my mom’s famous desserts which she passed on to me.
