Ingredients
  

Ingredients You'll Need to Make the Waffles:
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 250 g Butter
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 Packets Vanilla sugar
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 500 g All purpose flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
Ingredients You'll Need to Make the Homemade Vanilla Sauce:
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
Ingredient You'll Need for the Simmered Berries:
  • 2 Cups Frozen or fresh mixed berries, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • 3-4 Tbsp Sugar

  • 1 Thermomix Or
  • Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Instructions on How to Make the Waffles:
  2. In a medium bowl, mix butter and sugar until creamy using an electric hand mixer.
  3. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix until you have a thick batter. Bake portions of the batter in a waffle iron until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla sauce and mixed berries. Or powdered sugar, fruit, and whipped cream.
Instructions on How to Make the Vanilla Sauce:
  1. In your Thermomix bowl add all ingredients except butter and mix for 10min/95C/speed 3. Add butter and mix again for a few seconds.
  2. If making vanilla sauce on the stove top, use a saucepan, whisk together the egg, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk.
  4. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat.
  5. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly about 5-8 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter.
  7. Serve warm over freshly made waffles.
Instructions on How to Make the Berry Sauce:
  1. In a medium saucepan, simmer frozen mixed berries with sugar for 15 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
