BBQ Steaks (Perfectly Grilled Every Time)
It is BBQ season and there is nothing better than a beautiful, juicy, charred steak on the grill. We love to use our smoker for that but this recipe is good for any type of grills. The BBQ sauce gives that slight sweetness a good steak needs.
Weather you’re hosting a backyard BBQ or just craving a satisfying dinner, mastering BBQ steaks is a game changer. I will walk you through everything from choosing the right cut to achieving that irresistible char and juicy steak.

Choosing the Best Steak Cuts:
- Ribeye – Rich marbling, incredibly juicy, and full of flavor
- New York Strip – Leaner than ribeye but still tender and flavorful
- T-Bone – Two cuts in one (strip + tenderloin)
- Sirloin – Budget-friendly and still delicious when cooked right
- Filet Mignon – Ultra tender, best for those who prefer a softer texture
I highly suggest looking for steaks with good marbling (thin white streaks of fat) for the best flavor. Costco has a variety of steaks to choose from for a decent price.

Why BBQ Steaks Are So Popular VS Fried In A Pan?
- BBQ steaks are all about bold, juicy flavor, the open flame enhances the meat’s natural richness while adding a smoky depth you just can’t replicate indoors. Plus grilling is quick, social, and incredibly satisfying. It’s a skill my husband loved to learn and that is one of his specialties.
- Grilling the steaks on an open flame will deliver restaurant style quality steaks right at home. Once you nail the basics, you can experiment with marinades, rubs, and sauces to make it your own.

- Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness
- Use homemade BBQ sauce for the best flavors
